What is TEAMSKI?

Introduction:

TEAMSKI® Racing is a recreational, amateur, ski racing program for adult recreational Alpine skiers who live in cities along the Colorado front range.

Race Format:

Co-ed teams consisting of 6 racers with a minimum of two female racers on each team are assembled from within companies and ski clubs along the Colorado front range and compete in a head-to-head dual modified slalom format.  Each racer gets two runs down the course, with the best time counting for both individual (within age group) and team scores.  The team times are the cumulative total of the two fastest women on each team and the next three fastest times; male or female, for a total of five times being counted for the overall race standing.

The courses are set on intermediate to advanced terrain that provide more of a challenge than the typical self-timer or public race courses while still providing even first-time racers the opportunity to enjoy themselves.

As this season comes to a close and we look forward to a monumental 30th season of racing, we wish to express great joy for yet another successful season of racing.  See you all next year.

Celebrating its 29th year of providing recreational ski racing to the Colorado Front range, TEAMSKI is scheduled to host 6 regular season races at six different ski resorts plus a series championship known as the Colorado Cup. 

During the 2006 - 2007 race season TEAMSKI Racing registered only 218 racers, but hosted an average of 140 competitors for each race, for a total of 920 racers for the season.

To participate in TEAMSKI Racing, an individual should form a team at their workplace or join an existing ski club team. An individual may race only as a member of a team.
